The dude fucking tore it up. When he plays those notes high up the neck, it's transcendent. He's playing better than ever.
Gotta give it to Rich for being so ambitious with the setlists. They never repeated a Crowes song and rarely repeated the others. Tied Up and Swallowed and Feathers were played the same number of times as Remedy and Jealous Again. And they never played Angels, H2H, or Twice as Hard. Very ballsy and I really appreciated it.
What's very promising is how good the non Crowes songs sounded. As implied in the press release for the (first) London show, they will have original Magpie songs to play.
