Exactly..Now it's turned into the Romper Room again with homer fans trying to defend the awkwardness of it all, simply because they love this band THAT much, which is ironic, since it's not a band. They just want to hear SYMM tunes and hits and see the Robinson Bros on a stage, which, for the life of me, I can't understand how any longtime fan would give 2 shits about with this. I couldn't think of anything more boring.

Don't ever mention the lack of the younger generations having interest in rock and roll these days either, or a certain toolbag will follow you around all insecure about such an obvious reality.

You could see it at every Magpie show, or numerous other shows out there. Just look around at the crowd demographics. Young music fans today love electronic music, pop country, or hip hop, etc.

I go see Mofro once a year for example, and it's mostly Gen X and Boomers.

Rock and roll is more dead than ever, which I am sure is what Live Nation is banking on here. They think this kind of a novelty will present an isolated market that they can tap into. On a smaller theater scale, maybe.

We grew up pining for our own generation's Stones/Zepp/Allmans/Dead hybrid, we get it with the 90s Crowes through 1997, but outside of PJ, Foo Fighters, etc, there hasn't been a lot for younger fans to latch onto for the last 20 years. TBC certainly is one, Dave Matthews, WSP, Phish, etc, but that's a slightly different market there, too, where it's more of a jamband market.

How do you better the 2 set grassroots approach of 2005 where you do it all right? Why would choose to regress from that, when you had it nailed?

I actually just had an awkward exchange at work with a couple of 20 somethings in disbelief I had no interest in the 4th of July show. That's how awkward the Robinsons have made this.

Who knows, maybe most of the crowd will the kids of the Gen Xers? I just question that logic at an amphitheater size.

One of the best lines I've seen so far anywhere is "I realize I hate my favorite band"....haha

It can be said a million times over, documented as we (Gen X and Boomers) attend rock shows, etc, but it doesn't matter, the insecurity of such a reality is there by a select few on that board. It is what it is, it doesn't mean all younger music fans fall into this, it's just the general landscape of the rock and roll young fan demographic.

And,yeah, I am not buying at MOST younger fans give 2 shits about the Black Crowes. I'll believe that shit when I see it.

It reminds me of the 2005 .com board opening up and some acting like Gorman or Ford in the band, didn't matter. Priceless shit.

Of course it mattered. The tour never would have worked.
